Our New Product Editor, Mary Kellenberger, takes a look at a product that isn't new, but it is definitely good for you!

It took me a little while to get into green tea. I love Earl Grey and Chai. So, switching to something I didn't really like took some will power on my part. But, as I kept reading and hearing about its benefits, I decided to just do it.
It's okay now! I add a little sweetener, some lemon and it's not so bad. I have a cup or two of the decaffeinated version after coming home in the evening and it even curbs my appetite. That's definitely a good thing.
Today, I learned of additional green tea benefits from our good friends at www.realage.com:
* It may help you lose weight. Here's how.
* It may help keep your knees young and strong. Here's the reason.
* It can help your skin look great. Here's how to turn green tea into a skin soother.
* It can help you stay sharp. Here's how much you need to help your mind.
It can help my weight, knees, skin and mind ... I'm sold!
I still drink Earl Grey and Chai, but I always make sure I have at least one serving of green every day.
Have you had good results with green tea? Please post your comments!
After a scare of prostate cancer my husband, Bob, did a lot of research on diet. He found green tea was one of the healthiest things you can drink. Since 2004 we have been drinking green tea everyday. The best tea in the QC is HARAKI-GORDON JAPENESE ORGANIC GREEN TEA. They are in Moline, (309) 764-1474 - they sell at the Farmers Market in Davenport and Bettendorf, IA, in the summer and at West Kimberly Market in the winter. If you are just drinking bagged tea you must give this a try.

I just wanted to correct the phone number Candy wrote, just one digit off. Anyway, thank Candy to drop such a nice comment here. Yes, we have a variety of green tea selections. Where my wife is coming from in Japan statistically shows that it has the lowest cancer rate in the world!
