Has Anyone Ever Used A Face Bra?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'll try anything.

FacebApparently during an episode of Ally McBeal, Elaine - played by Jane Krakowski -invented a Face Bra.  I don’t know whose Face Bra came first, Elaine’s or Vicki Southard’s, but both are amusing. However, I think I got far more out of the amusement provided by Elaine’s Face Bra than the one I purchased from the Face Wrap web site for $79 (which included the minerals, hair cover and basting bottle).

The Face Wrap/Face Bra is an elastic cotton contraption that supposedly removes impurities in the skin by keeping the proprietary minerals in constant contact with your skin, thereby lifting, firming, smoothing, softening, and anything else your skin needs to be stunningly beautiful.

And you can use it as often as you like! That is, if you have an engineer in the family to help you figure out how to get it on. Then you must either lie in the tub, or find some other way to keep your surroundings dry, as you continually “baste” the bra with the mineral solution.

The Face Bra may actually work when used properly. Vicki promises results after four or five uses.  I wrestled with it twice, enduring my children’s laughter and my husband’s ridicule, hoping I would see something – ANYTHING – to make the process worth the $79. I admit it: I’ll try anything.  But I also admit: if it’s time-consuming, difficult and embarrassing to use ... I’ll quit.

You are a brave woman! Who would put a picture of themselves in a face bra!

I enjoy your blog! Thanks for being REAL.

Glad to hear someone else had trouble putting it on. At least you could see. I couldn't keep it from shifting down (when it was supposed to pull my face up).

If you will rent "Topper Returns" from Netflix, you can see Billie Burke in a cellophane face bra from the 1930s. She looked beautiful in her 50s, so it must have worked! It is meant to be comedic in the movie, but I found myself wondering how she looked so young in her 50s....
